Calaway Park is the perfect family fun destination! Nestled on the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Calaway Park is located only 10 km West of Calgary on the TransCanada Highway.
Established in 1982, Calaway Park, which name comes from Calgary away, has grown from its original 14 rides and attractions to 32 rides, 20 food locations, 24 skill testing games and 5 attractions. Calaway Park is a one pay gate which includes all the rides, shows, live entertainment and parking you can handle!
Calaway’s entertainment program offers a wide variety of live entertainment, street performances, and original stage shows. Original stage productions produced in-house each year, with a dance troop known as Calaway Live. Chris Thompson, Entertainment Director, writes and produces every show. “Our wide variety of entertainment runs seven days a week during the summer, its a real added value for guests!” says Thompson.
In 2013 Calaway Park added a new 3D theatre to our Entertainment line-up. Guests can enjoy a short family friendly film in the air-conditioned Cinemagic 3D theatre during their day of fun.
In 2014 Calaway Park opened our new log ride, Timber Falls. Take a journey through three interactive themed buildings that will transport you to the Timber Falls Sawmill. Feel the rush of three high velocity drops and a zig-zag river section! Non-riders can even join in the action from the Timber Falls viewing area with two explosive water cannons.
Joining the Calaway Park experience in 2018 is Sky Wynder! It is a new ride you don’t want to miss! Experience two thrills in one. You will spiral as you drop down a 40 foot column again and again. Take in the breath-taking view of the beautiful Rocky Mountains from this brand new ride.
Calaway Park’s new ride in 2019 is Bumble Blast! This spinning coaster will have your family twisting and turning all summer long. Journey along a figure-eight track as this family fun ride spins. Bumble Blast seats passengers back-to-back in their own cars and can easily accommodate adults as well as children. You don’t want to miss this family thrill ride opening in 2019.
